Dear CRSS Community,

Today marks the end of Quarter 2 and next Tuesday, February 2 marks the start of Quarter 3. (As you know, there is no school on Monday, February 1 as it is a Staff Development Day.) Our campus has been busy welcoming back our K-2 and 6-8 graders. It is with great excitement that we welcome back our 3-5 graders on Tuesday, February 2 for in-person learning. If you have communicated with the school office that you will have your child remain in distance learning for 3rd Quarter, they will continue to receive a quality education virtually.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES:

It is time to sign up for our February conferences. The conferences will be virtual. I have included the link below where you can sign up. I will also put the link on our website. As a reminder, conferences will be held on Thursday evening, February 11th, and during the day on Friday, February 12. The teachers are looking forward to connecting with you again and setting goals for your children.

The steps to sign up are:

Enter your email address and click “Login/Create Account”.

For each child, enter their student ID (firstname+lastname) i.e. williamsmith. This is not case sensitive.

For each child, enter their birthday as mm/dd/yyyy.

Repeat until you see a teacher for each of your students.

Each colored square represents an available meeting time. The legend shows you what teacher corresponds to what color. (Note: you will not see all of the teachers, just the teachers that your children have classes with.) Click on a square to book that time.

Click "Create Appointment". Repeat until each of your students has a conference scheduled.

Click send an email to receive a copy of the schedule after creating the last appointment for your family, then logout at the top of screen or close your browser.

COVID

Our students have been doing a very good job wearing facemasks with few reminders. Thank you, students! The Governor issued guidance last week on vaccination programs for schools. We have received some allocations for our staff and we are hoping for additional allocations in the near future.

PARENT DROP-OFF:

Now that we are back into the swing of things, I would like to you a few reminders about morning drop-off for those who drive your child to school. Morning drop off begins at 7:50am and ends at 8:05am. If you arrive before 7:50am, please have your child wait in your car until 7:50am. We want to ensure our staff is in place to welcome them. If you arrive after 8:05am, please park your car in a designated parking spot and come into Old Main to sign your child in. Your child will be marked tardy after 8:05am. Afternoon pick-up is from 2:50-3:05pm.

YARD SIGNS:

Thanks to the families that already took a sign to display in their yard. This Thursday, February 4 we will have yard signs available to take during afternoon pick-up. We encourage families to post a sign in your yard, advertising our great school to the community. We are enrolling now for the 2021-2022 school year and you can help us get the word out by putting a CRSS sign in your yard until the lottery on March 11. After the lottery we will ask for the signs back if they are in good shape. (See a yard sign below.)
