Student Services
As a public charter school, CRSS offers special education services to those who qualify. Special education is instruction that is specially designed to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability. This means instruction that is individually developed, at no cost to the parents, to address a specific child’s needs that result from their disability. Importantly, special education is a service, not a place.
At CRSS, students who receive special education services are general education students first, and are provided with specialized instruction, accommodations in the classroom, and modifications to the curriculum, depending on their individual needs as indicated by their Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Based on their needs, our students are served by a department that includes:
- Special Education Teachers
- School Social Work Services
- Speech Language Services
- Occupational Therapy
- Developmental Adaptive Physical Education
- Assistive Technology
- Paraprofessional Support
