Snow Day

Important Information About Snow Days and E-Learning

For the 2024-2025 school year, we have one snow day built into our school calendar. If additional school days are canceled due to inclement weather, we will implement an E-Learning plan to ensure instructional hours are maintained, as outlined in Minnesota Statute 120A.414.

Parents will receive a notification through our school messaging system confirming whether a school cancellation due to weather will be designated as an E-Learning day.

What This Means for Your Child:
On an E-Learning day, students are expected to complete the following:

  1. Choice Board Activities:
    • Choose one activity from each column on the Choice Board in their E-Learning folder.
    • Circle the three to four activities completed on the grid (including one from each column and any Specials, if applicable).
  2. Parent/Guardian Signature:
    • Have a parent or guardian sign the bottom of the Choice Board.
  3. Submit Work:
    • Turn in the signed Choice Board and any completed worksheets either the next school day or within two days of returning to school.

Attendance Requirement:
To be marked "present" on an E-Learning day, students must:

  • Submit the signed Choice Board.
  • Complete and return the corresponding assignments (or submit electronic work).

Teacher Availability:
Classroom teachers will be available to communicate with parents and students via email during E-Learning days to answer questions and provide support as needed.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s classroom teacher.

Thank you for your cooperation!
