Annual Meeting

The Cannon River STEM School Board of Directors cordially invites you to:

 

Cannon River STEM School Annual Meeting on Thursday, January 25, 2024 @5:30 p.m. in the Middle School Village Gymnasium. Interpreters will be available for our ASL and Spanish speaking families.

Consider serving your community through board member leadership!

The CRSS board is currently made up of nine members and must include at least one community member, one parent member and one teacher member. Board members serve three-year terms. For the term beginning in January, 2024 we will be holding elections for two open community/parent member seats and four elected seats that currently have appointed members.

Board members are responsible for the governance, policy and overall financial health of the school. They also serve as the direct supervisor for the CRSS Executive Director. Board meetings are held monthly, at least ten times per year; board members may also serve on one of our school committees.

 

Qualifications:

Be an advocate of public education in Minnesota, and the charter school role in the public education system.

Be a resident or be aware of the communities that are served by CRSS.

Have experience and/or a skill set that adds value to the work of the Board.

Have the respect of those who you have worked with previously.

Have a desire to be an active Board member in a non-profit organization.

Be a team member who can provide solutions and a positive attitude.

Please send a Declaration of Candidacy to board member Sarah Busch.  The Declaration of Candidacy should include a current resume and written statement outlining your reason for interest in serving on the Board and specific experience, qualities, and qualifications that you may contribute to the Board and to CRSS.
